The Viper SCHOTF4 out-the-front assisted opening knives from Schrade feature a spear point style blade and dark gray finished aluminum with a pocket clip and glass breaker tip for emergency use. To deploy the blade, simply release the safety, then push on the slider near the base of the handle to get the blade moving and the spring assisted mechanism will take it the rest of the way. To retract the blade, release the lock switch and pull down on the slider to lock blade back in place. It is an assisted automatic deployment blade with manual retraction.

The SCHOTF4S has a bead blast finished blade with a partially serrated edge.
